 Small Toad with light brown coloration with large poison glands 

How to identify:

Coloration:

This species has pronounced knobs and high cranial crests giving its head a sculptured appearance.

 

These knobs are not well developed in young individuals.

 

The crests running from the knobs converge as they approach the snout.

Diet:

Size:

Fowlers Toads  can grow to be 2-3in long

Habitat:

The Fowlers Toad This species is found in a wide variety of habitats but seems to prefer sandy soils

Range of habitat:

The Fowlers Toad can be found in the deep South, from Maryland to Texas.
