A broad stripe stretching from head to tail along their slender bodies. The stripe, bordered on both sides by narrow black lines that may separate into dashes along caudal regions

Yellow to greenish yellow or tan.

The Southern Two-Lined Salamanders live in/near temperate forests, rivers, intermittent rivers, swamps, and freshwater springs.

The Southern Two-Lined Salamander can be found in Canada and the United States
